Nashville Dentist Featured on Special Edition of “Extreme Makeover”

(Nashville, Tenn.) – Ever wonder how the professionals work their magic on “Extreme Makeover?” You don’t have to wonder anymore – Nashville dentist, Dr. Dennis J. Wells, will return to ABC’s “Extreme Makeover,” this time for a special behind the scenes look at the makeover process.

Dr. Wells was one of only a handful of cosmetic dentists nationwide to be invited by ABC last season to join the “Extreme Makeover” professional team and now he has been invited back for a special ‘Secrets of Extreme Makeover’ episode, which will air on March 19th.

“Appearing on ‘Extreme Makeover’ has given me the chance to show the world how cosmetic dentistry can dramatically improve a person’s appearance,” said Dr. Wells, Nashville’s most sought-after cosmetic dentist. “Now, by going behind the scenes, I can show how those results are achieved and allow people to see the step by step process in designing a smile that is perfect for each individual.”

Dr. Wells is one of only 400 dentists worldwide to be accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), where he now also serves an examiner for the AACD accreditation process. Dr. Wells has been featured in numerous print and broadcast features on oral-health and cosmetic dentistry, including an episode of The Learning Channel’s “A Personal Story” that focused a smile makeover. In 2001 he received the President’s Award from the AACD, and was recently selected as one of the Best Dentists in America. He has designed the smiles of a variety of high-profile clients, including music celebrities, professional athletes and beauty pageant contestants, and also is highly active in a broad range of charity activities, including the Give Back a Smile Program, a program designed to restore the smiles of victims of domestic abuse.
